Reviews Are Becoming the New Portfolio
Portfolios still matter, but they're increasingly treated as a starting point rather than proof. A polished portfolio shows what an agency can do. A review history shows what an agency actually did, repeatedly, for real clients.
This is especially visible in categories where trust is hard to fake at scale — translation services, for instance, where accuracy and cultural nuance are difficult to judge from a portfolio sample alone, but easy to judge from a pattern of client feedback over time.
Expect this trend to deepen: agencies are increasingly designing their portfolio pages to link directly to independent review profiles, rather than keeping testimonials siloed on their own site where they're harder to verify.
